We are all exposed to fake news almost everyday while using social media, with all its different platforms. Fake news is news that appears to be true, but is the opposite of that, it consists of deliberate misinformation and is often used to mislead and manipulate others. Surprisingly fake news is getting more popular everyday, more people tend to believe what they see online without checking for proof of what they saw or read.

News and information in the past were very limited and regulated and were checked several times before being issued or posted, however today the internet has facilitated this process, anyone with access to the internet is allowed to post anything they want without using any evidence to support their claims, people tend to believe them.

There are some questions I have for you:

1- Do you feel like this is an issue or should people be less gullible?

2- How would you check if something is false or not?

3- If you came across a situation where you believed something that was false, but later found out – feel free to tell me about it in the comments čÖé
